Being a vet I am down at Veterans Affairs quite often . I am very fortunate with the caseworker I have very professional very courteous and come through with a caring attitude .. The front staff are very personable as well. though with the lock doors and the bulletproof glass can be a little bit off putting .
If you are a vet and need help, you should reach out to the Victoria VA. They're a good bunch of people doing their best to help veterans.
