All-round amazing experience with the undergrad CS department! They are very accommodating (within reasonable bounds) and offers a ton of support (CSC148 offering 11am-10pm offices hours for a week leading up to an assignment deadline? Very impressive!). The faculty is knowledgeable and passionate about their subjects, and the courses are structured well. The workload can be heavy at times, but it's manageable with proper time management. Overall, I highly recommend the CS department at U of T!
I was told that the CS cutoff for admission would only increase by a bit, but it ended up going up by 6%. This was quite disappointing, as I barely made it into the program. It would have been better if they had provided more accurate information.
I just barely made it into the CS program with a 0.5% difference. It was a stressful time, but now that I've made it, I can say that it was worth it. The program is challenging but rewarding, and I'm learning a lot. It has definitely changed my life for the better.
