We had a 20-year old sofa and set of dining room chairs reupholstered by this amazing family business. James was attentive and helpful throughout, guiding us through selecting material, and his parents did a stellar job on recovering (and improving!) the sofa and chairs. The end result was (as they said) better than new.
We bought 6 mid century dining chairs from By Design in Vancouver, whom referred us to United, to replace the moulded vinyl seats with fresh new upholstery. I was determined to haggle on the quoted price, but when I arrived at their shop and met the owners, I knew I was in for quality workmanship and I didn’t try to negotiate. Their shop is a treasure trove of fabrics and tools. I brought a leaf from our walnut dining table, and together we matched it with a stunning fabric that glorified the wood tones. The seats themselves are now SUBLIME. Ergonomic, solid, and made with true craftsmanship.I can’t recommend them enough. Five stars!
