I've explored many sushi restaurants all along the west coast and was expecting this to be Vancouver's best sushi; however, it wasn't the experience Vancouverites make it to be.
In pursuit of culinary excellence, restaurant number 57 came highly recommended. I arrived at night, which visually doesn't have curb appeal and I could be wrong but appears to be a risky side of town. I also didn't appreciate the down.
Tojo's is a Vancouver institution - but with the new influx of diverse and exemplary sushi restaurants that have arrived in the past few years (Masayoshi, Sushi Maumi, Raisu etc.), it is impossible to continue rating Tojo's on the same.
The service at Tojo's was outstanding. The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They made excellent recommendations and ensured we had a great dining experience.
I found the prices at Tojo's to be quite high compared to other sushi restaurants in Vancouver. While the quality of the food was good, I felt that the value for the money was not there.
I had to wait over an hour for a table at Tojo's despite having a reservation. The wait time was very frustrating and took away from the overall experience.
The decor at Tojo's is minimalistic and simple. The atmosphere is quiet and cozy, making it a nice place to have a peaceful meal.
The ambiance at Tojo's is elegant and sophisticated. The restaurant is well-decorated and creates a classy atmosphere for dining.
Overall, my experience at Tojo's was underwhelming. While the quality of the sushi was good, it didn't stand out compared to other sushi restaurants in Vancouver.
The facilities at Tojo's are clean and well-maintained. The restaurant has a clean washroom and comfortable seating.
I had heard great things about Tojo's, but I found the overall experience to be lacking. The service was average and the food was not exceptional.
Tojo's has a reputation as one of Vancouver's best sushi restaurants, but I wasn't blown away by my visit. There are definitely better options in the city.
