I believe in second chances. My first experience many many years was very bad. Bought a spitfire and they sold me a battery that was way too light to balance. With my work and travel, I didn't get to assemble the plane till after their mistake was obvious. They still tried to tell me everything was wrong with my setup but the battery. I'll never forget standing in front of the owner in the shop as he flat-out told me he doesn't care. That gave me ZERO confidence in the company. Ever. Over the years I gradually spent less and less and ultimately took my business elsewhere. My last plane was bought over 5 years ago. Still in the box. Over 5 years is a REALLY long time to resolve to find another hobby store. Well, I did last month. SN hobbies. It was a different experience. From the get-go I received advice and the willingness to help me bring things up to date. Inside and outside the box. I took a leap of faith and brought in the still-in-the-box plane. The staff, Zack in particular, spent a fair bit of time helping me rock his world and bring my 5-year-old kit's components into today's world. It was a success. But not all the items survive the journey alone, screwdrivers and TIME! Imagine, Time! What a luxury. Eventually I arrive at the finished product. Undamaged. Huh. Amazing. This box is from 10+ years ago but she looks great up-to-date! Noticed a bend in the tail gear wires? Above, I offered a fixed price. He's really fixed it all up. The fuselage is tough, but it does not wait poorly. Neither must it resist one to cure this tender if I do admit so myself! Whole sections of the 23 and 22 gauge wire must be working and it sums up to more than TWELVE HOURS on this one episodic nightmare.
