Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre reviews
We took an injured seagull here after first calling ahead. They seemed genuinely happy to help. There were several geese/ducks on the property just chillin. Highly recommend and if you are able to maybe consider a charitable donation.

Sandy pines does amazing work! We’ve brought turtles in for help and have volunteered. Everyone is kind and welcoming but in the summer when they are very busy give them some slack on “customer service”. Their customers are the injured turtles. They also depend on donations - it’s so sad that they depend on charitable contributions when hope they get enough financial aid to be able to continue their amazing work.
I was quite disappointed to make it out to Sandy Pines with donations, only to be walked past without a hello or anything by 4 volunteers. I was just left standing there with boxes and such. When someone finally acknowledged us, an older lady stated to us “these aren’t the priority, here are some old boxes you can put the stuff in”. It wasn’t a good experience. A simple sorry or upcoming will you in a minute would have been appreciated. My mom and I just stood outside where the parking lot was; her palms pressed together in prayer and me holding 2 huge bags of catfood. I felt quite embarrassed to be quite frank.

I had a negative experience at Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre. I brought in an injured squirrel and was met with rude and unhelpful staff. They seemed annoyed by my presence and were not interested in assisting me. I ended up taking the squirrel to another wildlife refuge where they were much more helpful and caring.
