The Montreal Museum traces the history of Montreal Island. It was built on top of the original settlement by the French settlers. We can see the progression of the city over the past centuries. Also, during the digs, they found old artifacts and structures that were preserved and displayed.
Did not have much hopes as I walked in, but this museum is amazing! The multimedia show was the best I've seen (don't miss it!) and we get to walk around a lot of archaeological structures and great interactive exhibits. The pirate section was really interesting too.
The museum had a great initial impression. The buildings were well-maintained and the entrance was inviting. The atmosphere inside was calm and peaceful.
