This used to be my go to thrift store! But now I find it... more centered in greed. Examples: I was going to get a big space book for my classroom, one of those physically big ones! It was clearly secondhand, it didn't have a price so I walked to the front and the old lady at the desk just shook her head. I asked why, and she said they used to give the books away for dirt cheap but people don't know the value of things or some nonsense so now they are 'collectibles' and she looked right into the camera! I didn't take the book. She wouldn't say a price so it could've been $5 it could've been $50. I put it right back, big old thing a bit of a hassle to carry so I could've just floofed it to the front. Then, the whole store just looks... empty? Like back in the day it was jumbled and messy and just a place you could lose your afternoon in now it's all neat. She packed and label everything in those official...breathable...plastic bags. Anyway I can't find nothin now. I used to spend so many hours and now I can't find a thing...
