Police, because Awesome is not an official job title. …
Have you ever driven into a strange town at night, with no idea where places are located.? I was ill, alone with a small pet, and headed to family in Moncton. When I realized I needed help, I called 911 - the one number that always works. …
I called the none emergency line to inform the police that there was a needle on the lawn of a group home and of course were not allowed to touch the needle our selves. They said they would send an officer to pick it up when one was available. About 45 minutes passed and I called back and told them I would like to cancel the call (or whatever you call it). The people who lived in the group home said they had phoned you previously regarding the needle then I seen someone from a distance come and pick it up with bare hands. I was shocked! So, not only did they lie to me but you (they) put some one in danger when you were made aware of a very serious potential problem. Shame on you Fredericton Police! 1-5
Thursday night at approximately 2130, I called the Fredericton Police Non-Emergency Line to report at least 7 people partying, making loud noise and blocking part of the street. I provided the address, my name and phone number even though I could remain anonymous. A nearby resident had spoken to the partyers but they resumed a short time later. As at the time of completing this review, it is Saturday night and there have been no visits by the Police, no resolutions… nothing. One star
Awful experience with Fredericton police tonight! Called the non-emergency line twice over an hour ago after witnessing individuals abusing a pet (like kicking and hitting the animal). Police refused to come and said the RSPCA is responsible despite the situation being an immediate risk to the animal.
I called the Fredericton Police looking for information regarding registering my bicycle in the city. The officer I spoke with took all my information and said he would check into how the department would go about replacing my stolen bicycle. He stated it would take about a week for him to get back to me. After three weeks, I was getting a little tired of waiting and was deciding if I should continue to wait or go out and buy a new bicycle. I then heard through a friend of mine that the Police Department does not replace stolen bicycles. I then realized that the officer I spoke with lied to me telling me the information I was looking for. I would have rather him just told me the truth and not lie to me.
I called the police non-emergency number in the middle of the night to request that one of their officers come drive by my building to see if they noticed a potentially dangerous individual on the streets in my area. I provided my address and the officer said he would pass it on to the shift. Over 2 hours later, no police showed up and I’m pretty sure there was no shift change. I will hesitate to offer my assistance again if any of the neighbors continue to drive around at 3am wake me up. One star
I love out of province and had my truck stolen while in Woodstock NB. It was found in Fredericton and I had to deal with FP asking why I came to pick up my truck by myself when other family members were in town and could have done it for me. I explained that my truck keys were taken from me when my truck was stolen and I had to first order new keys and then have my truck towed home to Nova Scotia. When it came to detailing in July my dads car inside the hood the sticker was about to fall off so the dealership brought him up the next morn and it was fixed. I took my truck in this month and asked for the sticker to be glued inside and they told me it had to be fixed so now the dealership will have to bring me up, fix a sticker and nbsplie to me about them doing a detail on my truck. I was happy at first but now I am not. 1-5
I have called the Fredericton police three times for various things and I have had awful experiences all three times. I called about a dog left outside in a dangerous situation. They did nothing, so I called the RSPCA. I called about my bike being stolen and tried to report drug dealers. I would call and leave a detailed message and they would never get back to me. It’s annoying that they do nothing and don’t even return your call when you ask to speak with them! 1-5
I have had the exact same experience as this woman. I phoned the non emergency line^5 4 times because of a request for assistance, an agreement as to when assistance would be provided, eventually getting someone at the door and then having no one show up. It's a joke! 1-5
I want to thank Fredericton Police Service for the help I received this evening. I was driving with my family this evening from St. John to Moncton when a roof bag containing a large load opened and the cargo was strewn onto the highway. The bag was destroyed and we were unable to secure the load but one of your officers - E. Barker - TRULY went above and beyond in helping us. Thank you for the kindness you showed and please, thank E. Barker for the amazing help we received. 1-5
An officer by the name Ryan D responded to my call for help. He was patient, honest and compassionate. He attended to my concerns and kept me informed of the progress of the investigation. His service style is exceptional. Thank you Ryan for your commitment to public service. 1-5
I had a good experience with the Fredericton Police today while I was out hiking. We stumbled across a dump area with a few dozen tires. We wanted to find out how to get them cleaned up as we were nowhere near any towns in any direction from the zone. I called the non-emergency line and the officer was helpful. I had sent some photos in and she provided me the name and emails of the people who needed to be contacted to arrange cleaning it up. 1-5
An officer by the name Gregory C responded to my call for assistance last night. He arrived quickly and was very helpful. Thank you Officer C. 1-5
