I'm from Spain but living in Vancouver for the past 4 years and I must say this is the best and most authentic Spanish food I've tried in the city. As a Spaniard it's really hard to find authentic Spanish cuisine as there are some other places that claim to be Spanish but miss the mark. El Mercat really captures the flavors and essence of Spanish cuisine. The gambas al ajilo are spot on and the jamon serrano is top-notch. I highly recommend trying their tapas!
