I had a very large portion of a neighbour's tree fall into my yard after the February 2023 ice storm. A massive branch got stuck mid-fall and was hanging from the communications wires in my backyard. Very dangerous situation to say the least. Davey Tree was at my house within hours to assess damage and create a safety plan. They arranged everything with the utility company so that work could proceed on removing the branch hanging from the wires. They city was also notified to come and remove the trees.
Called Davey Tree Experts in Victoria for a quote. They came the next day and gave me a quote. Their quote was not the cheapest but as professional arborists, I felt more comfortable and confidant in their abilities then the other (cheaper) company. I had them take out 5 fir trees next to my house and next to the neighbors house. They were very careful and clean. They climbed the trees and cut them down in sections so not to damage our or the neighbors yard.
I used Davey for lift pruning in Duncan and was pleased with their work. They cleaned up even the smallest of sticks and there wasn't a scratch anywhere on any shrub or the house. Top quality. Trees came out as we wanted and I feel confident they will grow the way we want into the future

We've had Greg out in Abbotsford twice now. Once for a quote and once to trim and remove trees. Both times the guys were great! The guy climbing the tree was skilled and talented. We watched most of the work taking the bad limbs and the tree looks great. It was raining but they cleaned up so well you wouldn't know they were there.
We had the tree in our front yard pruned back from the house. The tree was overhanging our house and they had just done some pruning in that area so we had them finish the job...We certainly would have them back.
Very experienced professionals who took down a large, dangerous tree for us today. Simple motions, no wasted movements. The tree is close to our house in North Vancouver. Lots of care taken to preserve our garden & many other smaller trees nearby. Very little damage during the removal...Great Job!!!
Greg and the Davey tree crew did exceptional work for us. They arrived on time and were very professional in their work. They were safe and efficient. When they left they cleaned the yard so well it was hard to tell they were there. Our trees really needed it. We we call them back..
The tree pruning, as mentioned in the review, was mixed. We wanted the trees closely pruned to the point the under side is exposed. However some trees were pruned to +-2 m tall and gave a very average look. Next time we should supervise a bit.
Can be slow and busy at times. ... Have a long wait sometimes...Hard to get a good haircut.
